Detailed Making Process

Getting Ready (10 minutes):
Scrub all your fruits good. Take the skin off ginger and dice it small. Chunk up apples and toss the middles. Cut strawberries and oranges into quarters. Get your spices and add-ins measured out.
Mixing Up (5 minutes):
Toss in tougher stuff first. Mix in softer fruits bit by bit. Whizz until it's silky smooth. Splash in water if it's too thick.
Filtering Out (10 minutes):
Pop a fine strainer on top. Push down lightly with a spoon. Catch the juice in a clean dish. Don't push too hard on the pulp.
Putting Away (5 minutes):
Grab some clean 2-oz containers. Pour in juice but leave a tiny gap. Screw lids on right away. Mark them with today's date.

When I started making these, I found out that adding just a tiny bit of black pepper helps your body soak up the turmeric and other good stuff way better.

Looking Back: These energy shots changed how I start my days, swapping my coffee habit for pure, natural energy. If you want better focus, stronger immunity, or just a healthy morning kickstart, these little shots pack a mighty punch in a tasty little package.

Ingredients

→ Energy-Boosting Apple Ginseng Shot

01 1 tsp cinnamon
02 1/3 cup blended or juiced blackberries
03 1/3 cup blended or juiced blueberries
04 1/4 cup ginseng drink (or mix 1/2 teaspoon ginseng extract with 1/4 cup water)
05 1/3 cup blended or juiced raspberries
06 2 tart green apples, blended or juiced
07 1 cup water

→ Ginger Zing Strawberry Orange Shot

08 1 tsp cayenne powder
09 1.5 cups water
10 2.5 ounces fresh ginger root, juiced or blended
11 1/4 cup optional honey
12 1/2 cup diced strawberries, then blended or juiced
13 2 oranges, blended or juiced

Instructions

Step 01

Purée the apples using half a cup of water until the texture looks like applesauce. Move the mix into a bowl.

Step 02

Throw all the berries, cinnamon, and ginseng drink (or the extract mixture) into the blender. Add the apple puree back in and mix everything until smooth.

Step 03

Strain the mix using a sieve, pressing gently to push the liquid through. Add one cup of water to the filtered juice and mix it well.

Step 04

Pour the liquid into small 2-ounce containers for storage. This will yield about 10 to 12 shots.

Step 05

Blend together the ginger, strawberries, oranges, water, and cayenne. If your blender is small, start with just the fruits and half the water, then add the ginger, cayenne, and the rest of the water.

Step 06

Use a strainer to separate the juice from the pulp. Stir in the remaining half cup of water and mix in honey if you'd like.

Step 07

Pour the juice into 2-ounce containers. This should make around 10 to 15 servings.

Notes

  1. Two unique ideas for energy drinks: one with a berry-apple twist for mental clarity and a citrus-ginger option for a health boost.
  2. The ginger recipe has a powerful kick from both ginger and cayenne, but honey can soften the spicy edge if needed.
