Red Velvet Cookies (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 1/2 cups plain flour.
02 - 1/4 cup cocoa powder, no sugar added.
03 - 1 teaspoon of leavening powder.
04 - 1/4 teaspoon table salt.
05 - 1/2 cup soft unsalted butter.
06 - 3/4 cup white sugar for sweetness.
07 - 1 large-sized egg.
08 - 1 teaspoon vanilla flavoring.
09 - 1 tablespoon red dye.
10 - 1/4 cup tangy buttermilk.
11 - 1/2 cup creamy white chocolate chunks.
12 - 1/2 cup finely shredded coconut.
13 - Coating syrup made with sugar.

# Instructions:

01 - Set your oven to 350°F and cover a tray with parchment paper.
02 - Stir together salt, baking powder, cocoa, and flour.
03 - Whip the softened butter with sugar until nice and airy, about 2 to 3 minutes.
04 - Stir in the egg, vanilla, and red coloring until smooth.
05 - Add the dry mix and buttermilk in turns, blending each time.
06 - Let the dough sit in the fridge for half an hour.
07 - Pinch dough balls, press centers, fill with chocolate, seal them, and roll smooth.
08 - Cook for 10–12 minutes or till the edges are firm.
09 - While warm, brush the cookies with syrup and roll in coconut.
