Butter Mints (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 4 cups of powdered sugar.
02 - ½ cup of butter, unsalted and softened.
03 - 1½ tablespoons of heavy cream.
04 - ¼ teaspoon of peppermint flavoring.
05 - ⅛ teaspoon of vanilla flavoring.
06 - Food dye, optional.
07 - ⅛ teaspoon of salt.

# Instructions:

01 - Using a stand or hand mixer, whip softened butter until it's nice and smooth.
02 - Slowly add in 2 cups of powdered sugar, keeping the mixer on the lowest setting. Make sure it's fully blended.
03 - Add the salt along with the vanilla and peppermint extracts. Blend it all together.
04 - Stir in the heavy cream, then turn the mixer to medium speed until well mixed.
05 - Put in the rest of the powdered sugar. Keep mixing until it feels like playdough. Toss in some food coloring if you'd like.
06 - Shape it into small logs about ½-inch thick, then chop into bite-sized pieces. Line them up on a wax paper-covered tray.
07 - Leave them out at room temp, uncovered, for a few hours until completely firm.

# Notes:

01 - Good for 2 weeks if stored at room temperature.
02 - Keeps up to a month in the fridge.
