Honey-Soy Cod (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Glaze

01 - 1/2 teaspoon sesame seeds
02 - 1 teaspoon rice vinegar
03 - 1 teaspoon minced garlic
04 - 1/2 teaspoon minced fresh ginger
05 - 1 teaspoon sesame oil
06 - 2 tablespoons honey
07 - 2 tablespoons soy sauce

→ Main Ingredients

08 - 1 tablespoon green onions, cut at an angle
09 - 2 cod filets, 5-6 oz each

# Instructions:

01 - In a small bowl, stir together the soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, vinegar, garlic, ginger, and sesame seeds.
02 - Dry the cod filets with a paper towel. Lay them in a glass dish, coat with 1 tablespoon of glaze, then cover it up and chill in the fridge for at least 30 minutes and up to 2 hours. Keep the rest of the glaze aside.
03 - Move your oven rack close to the top, then turn the broiler on low. Cover a baking sheet with parchment and place the cod on top.
04 - Cook the cod under the low broiler for 12-14 minutes, brushing on more glaze every couple of minutes. For a golden finish, broil on high for another 4-5 minutes until the fish is nicely browned and reaches an internal heat of 135-140°F.
05 - Move the filets to plates and scatter diagonal slices of green onion on top before serving.

# Notes:

01 - Cod can be swapped with black cod, haddock, halibut, rockfish, or lingcod.
02 - Honey can be replaced with maple syrup or brown sugar.
03 - Double the glaze amounts if you want extra sauce to serve on the side.
