In a medium-sized pot, gently heat caramel bits with heavy cream while stirring. Keep at it until smooth and creamy.

Take the pot off the stove, toss in mini marshmallows, and stir until they’re completely coated.

Dump the caramel-marshmallow mixture into a large bowl with the cereal, then carefully fold everything until it’s all mixed up.

Give it a few minutes to cool. Use your greased hands to roll the mixture into small balls, about an inch wide. Set these on parchment or wax paper.

Roll each ball in the graham cracker crumbs and, if you like, the chocolate chips. Let them cool all the way before digging in.
