Stir the soft butter, minced dill, and garlic together until evenly blended. Set it aside for later.

Pop the steak in the freezer for a short time to make slicing thinner easier. Then, cut into strips.

Warm oil in a hot pan. Toss in the steak strips, sprinkle a generous amount of salt, and cook just until golden brown. Take it out and put it aside.

In the same pan, cook the onion slices until soft and nicely golden. Take them off the heat.

Cut the baguette open lengthwise, then smear both insides with the butter mix. Add the steak, golden onions, and Havarti cheese on top.

Place the sandwich open-faced under the broiler for around 2 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and melted. Eat while warm and gooey.
