Herb Butter Steak Sandwich (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Butter Mix

01 - 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh dill
02 - 3 garlic cloves
03 - ½ cup room temperature unsalted butter

→ Main Sandwich

04 - 4 slices of Havarti cheese
05 - 1 tablespoon cooking oil
06 - 1 long baguette
07 - 1 pound thinly sliced steak
08 - Pinch of salt (adjust to taste)
09 - 1 big yellow onion, sliced into half-moons

# Instructions:

01 - Stir the soft butter, minced dill, and garlic together until evenly blended. Set it aside for later.
02 - Pop the steak in the freezer for a short time to make slicing thinner easier. Then, cut into strips.
03 - Warm oil in a hot pan. Toss in the steak strips, sprinkle a generous amount of salt, and cook just until golden brown. Take it out and put it aside.
04 - In the same pan, cook the onion slices until soft and nicely golden. Take them off the heat.
05 - Cut the baguette open lengthwise, then smear both insides with the butter mix. Add the steak, golden onions, and Havarti cheese on top.
06 - Place the sandwich open-faced under the broiler for around 2 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and melted. Eat while warm and gooey.

# Notes:

01 - Tastes best when eaten hot, with gooey cheese and crispy bread.
02 - Putting the steak in the freezer briefly helps it slice thin.
