Tater Tot Casserole (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 pound ground breakfast sausage.
02 - 8 large eggs.
03 - 24 ounces of tater tots, frozen.
04 - 1 1/2 cups of milk or heavy cream.
05 - 1 teaspoon ground black pepper.
06 - 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder.
07 - 2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese.
08 - 1 1/2 teaspoons of salt.

# Instructions:

01 - Set the oven to 375°F and grease a 9x13 dish.
02 - Cook sausage in a skillet until browned, then drain the grease.
03 - In a bowl, whisk together the eggs with cream and seasonings.
04 - Spread the tater tots in the pan, then sprinkle sausage and cheese over them. Pour the egg mixture all over.
05 - Use foil to cover and bake for 40 minutes. After that, remove foil and bake another 15-20 minutes.

01 - Prepare this ahead of time if needed.
02 - Heavy cream works better than milk for taste.
03 - Start checking for doneness around the 40-minute mark.
