Easy Korean Egg Rice (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Base

01 - 1 tbsp soy sauce (adjust to your taste)
02 - 1 tsp toasted sesame seeds
03 - 1 egg
04 - 1 tbsp sliced green onions
05 - 1½ cups of cooked jasmine or short-grain rice
06 - ½ tsp sesame oil (toasted)
07 - ½ tsp neutral oil like vegetable oil
08 - 1 tbsp unsalted butter

→ Optional Add-ins

09 - Seaweed flakes (roasted)
10 - Sautéed greens or veggies (like zucchini, spinach, or carrots)
11 - Kimchi
12 - Avocado
13 - Tuna from a can

# Instructions:

01 - In a large bowl, combine the hot rice and butter so it melts completely. Set aside.
02 - Add oil to a hot non-stick pan on medium heat. Carefully fry the egg sunny-side up, spooning the oil over the yolk until done.
03 - Top the buttery rice with the fried egg. Sprinkle sesame seeds, green onions, sesame oil, and soy sauce over everything. Adjust the seasonings however you like.
04 - Stir it up before digging in! Feel free to add any extra goodies on hand.

# Notes:

01 - Microwave leftover rice to warm it up before using.
02 - Egg can be scrambled, fried differently, or cooked any way you like.
