Easter Chocolate Nests (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Base

01 - 6-8 pieces Shredded Wheat, broken into smaller bits
02 - 100g golden syrup
03 - 100g unsalted butter
04 - 200g chopped dark chocolate
05 - 200g chopped milk chocolate

→ Topping

06 - 100-200g of assorted Easter candies

# Instructions:

01 - Break the Shredded Wheat into small pieces in a wide bowl. Set aside for now.
02 - In a pan, heat the butter and syrup gently, giving it a stir every now and then. Once the butter's melted, take the pan off the heat and mix in the chopped chocolate until it's smooth and melted.
03 - Drizzle the melted chocolate mixture over the crushed cereal. Stir it well so it's evenly coated.
04 - Scoop out portions onto a baking tray lined with parchment. Shape into nests using a spoon or scoop, then pop a few Easter candies on top of each.
05 - Put the tray in the fridge and let the nests firm up completely.

# Notes:

01 - You can swap all chocolate for just milk (500g) or just dark (350g)
02 - Use a different cereal, like cornflakes, in place of Shredded Wheat (80-100g)
03 - Stays good for over a week
04 - White chocolate doesn't work well with butter and syrup
