Leave cranberries out until they're nice and soft, a few hours or overnight.

Throw softened berries, juice, and zest into a blender and whirl around. Scoop out 2/3 cup of the mix.

Beat the butter and sugar together till super fluffy and light.

Add the blended cranberry puree into the whipped butter. Mix it till it's smooth.

Slowly mix in your flour, salt, and baking powder. Toss in the dried cranberries at the end.

Cover dough and chill until it firms up—at least a half hour.

Shape the dough into small balls and roll them around in a bit of sugar.
