Date Snickers Bark (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 12 oz. (340 g) chocolate chips or chopped chocolate
02 - 20 medjool dates with pits already removed
03 - ½ cup (60 g) finely chopped peanuts
04 - ¼ - ½ cup (64 - 128 g) natural peanut butter, well mixed
05 - 1 teaspoon of coconut oil (optional)
06 - A sprinkle of flaky salt (optional)

# Instructions:

01 - Take out a small sheet pan or a big plate and cover it with wax or parchment paper. If your dates still have pits, remove them carefully.
02 - Split each date open down the middle, then gently pry them apart so they can lie flat. Arrange the dates close together on the parchment. Lay another piece of paper on top, then use your hand or the base of a cup to press them into one smooth layer, filling any gaps.
03 - Put the chocolate and coconut oil, if using, in a bowl that’s safe for microwaves. Heat for 30 seconds, stir, and repeat this process a couple more times until creamy and fully melted.
04 - Smooth a layer of peanut butter across the pressed dates. Next, pour the melted chocolate on top and spread evenly. Sprinkle the chopped peanuts on top, adding a pinch of salt if desired.
05 - Pop it into the fridge to set for an hour, or into the freezer for about 20-30 minutes. Once firm, grab a sharp knife and slice the bark into however many pieces you want, big or small.
