Almond Cake Ina Garten (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - ¼ teaspoon salt
02 - 2 teaspoons baking powder
03 - 2 cups finely ground almond flour

05 - 2 Tablespoons olive or avocado oil

07 - ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
08 - ½ cup pure maple syrup

10 - ¼ cup raw sliced almonds, with extra for garnish

# Instructions:

01 - Heat the oven to 350°F. Spray some oil on an 8-inch round pan or springform pan.
02 - Toast some sliced almonds on a small baking sheet for 4-5 minutes. Keep an eye on them so they don’t burn. Let them cool off.
03 - Stir the almond flour, salt, and baking powder together in a medium bowl.
04 - Mix eggs, maple syrup, oil, almond extract, and vanilla extract in a large mixing bowl until smooth.
05 - Gradually combine the wet and dry mixtures, and keep stirring until it’s all mixed well.
06 - Pour the mixture into the pan. Spread the toasted almonds evenly across the top.
07 - Cook for about 20-25 minutes or until the top is golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
08 - Let the cake sit in the pan to cool. If you like, sprinkle powdered sugar and extra almond slices on top before serving.
